Alison Wonderland drops her first single of the new year, “Fear Of Dying,” and pairs it with a music video that confronts her past.

After releasing tracks like “Bad Things,” “Anything,” and “W.W.C.B.D.” in 2020, last year was fairly quiet on the release front for Alison Wonderland. While she got back to playing festivals like Beyond Wonderland, Austin City Limits, and Decadence AZ, it wasn’t until the end of 2021 that some fresh beats from the Aussie artist surfaced. Riding the wave of “Fuck U Love U” into the new year, Alison Wonderland is now kicking off 2022 with a fantastic new track called “Fear Of Dying.”

True to its name, “Fear Of Dying” sees Alison Wonderland look to her internal struggles with anxiety to create the gripping lyrics found within its runtime. The emotions that run through your mind when you’re faced with the reality of losing someone who is close to you permeate this tune and are only bolstered by the impressive sound design that she offers up as well.

Paired with this fresh single from Alison Wonderland is a new music video starring the Aussie artist and directed by Brandon Dremer, who previously worked with acts like Dillon Francis and Panic! at the Disco. It sees Alison confront a past version of herself (circa Awake) to start down a new one as the hypnotic track is married with head-spinning visuals and a ride through the streets of Los Angeles.

“Fear Of Dying” has helped open up a new chapter of Alison Wonderland’s story and those who want to catch her live will be able to do so in the coming months as well. She’s set to perform at Brownies & Lemonade Spring Break and Ultra Music Festival in March and headline the Shrine Expo Hall in early April, so don’t sleep on your chance to see her spin this year.

Check out the music video for the tune below, stream or purchase “Fear Of Dying” on your favorite platform, and let us know what your thoughts are in the comments!
