Explore the Inspirations Behind shdws’ “Embers”

House artist shdws has risen through the ranks of the scene with smoldering tunes like “Embers” in tow, so take a peek at what inspires him!

The house music scene continues to thrive and artists like shdws are helping usher in a new era of dynamic sounds for crowds to dance the day and night away to. This rising star in the scene has already impressed with his tracks like “VIXEN” and “Kontrol” on Divided Souls, as well as collaborations such as “Lotta Money” and “Mental” with Blossom on Night Bass. Now, shdws has unveiled his latest stunner in the form of “Embers” – an absolute heater that’s landed on Uprise Music.

“Embers” is a tune that sees shdws at his best with a booming beat that will consume your soul and induce a shuffle frenzy, while its haunting vocals take the track to the next level. It blurs the line between banging bass house and sultry tech house to create an atmosphere that will have anyone who listens coming back for another round soon after its final seconds tick away.

I’ve been focusing a lot on vocals lately – trying to emphasize the darker side of my music while giving people something to really connect with. The vocal on this one sits nicely with the big analog bass, in the drops that minimal driving bassline hits with some Bass House style FM stabs – – My sound has been evolving into a bit of a Tech House/Bass House blend and I’m loving it. Hope everyone enjoys Embers!

To celebrate the release, shdws gifted us with a ride into the depths of his creative mind by curating a playlist of his favorite tunes and inspirations lately. It features everyone from Biscits and Truth X Lies to Four Tet and Volac, with some of his own tunes in there as well for good measure to make this a perfect collection of tunes to set the vibe during your spooky season parties.
