Known for illustrating REZZ’s comic book, Luis Colindres is back with a coloring book dubbed “Dropping Color”, and it is definitely a trip!

If you loved REZZ’s “Mass Manipulation” comic book, you need to check out Luis Colindres‘ latest project, an EDM-inspired coloring book! The Chicago-based artist behind the eerie illustrations launched his own Kickstarter earlier this year to help fund his project, which was ultimately a success. Now fans everywhere can pre-order their own copy of “DROPPING COLOR: A Mindtrip Coloring Book” so they can color along to their favorite EDM tracks for only $20!

Although a bit shorter than “Mass Manipulation”, which was a whopping 60 pages and was a full-length comic, “Dropping Color” features 48 full pages packed with trippy, horror graphics centered around EDM. From six-eyed dragons to killer robots, this book is definitely not for the easily spooked. Who said coloring books were for children?

“Dropping Color” features some older favorites, along with brand-new illustrations that Colindres has said are some of his intricate so far. Along with “Mass Manipulation”, Colindres also illustrated the music video for REZZ’s track “Premonition”.

Back in February, we had the chance to chat with him about his prior work with REZZ, the Kickstarter, and the project itself as the Kickstarter had just launched. Now we’re happy to see that it has been fully funded and that fans can now order their own copy through his website today!

“I wanted to give the EDM community something that they can bring their own personal touch to, while they listen to their favorite tunes; I am so humbled that the Kickstarter campaign was a success, so I can make that a reality for them.”

Known for his fabulously creepy illustrations, Colindres has worked for key players in the music industry outside of REZZ such as Billboard Dance and mau5trap Records. His art has also been featured a variety of publications like Billboard and the Chicago Tribune. Let us know what your thoughts on the coloring book, and if you’ll be grabbing a copy in the comment!

Make sure to snag a copy of Colindres’ new coloring book here and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

Sydney Grant

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
