#TBT || Zedd – Follow You Down (Keys N Krates Remix)

Follow Us Down this Throwback Thursday with Keys N Krates and Zedd!

This week’s Throwback Thursday is dedicated to two of my favorite, yet for the most part vastly different, artists. When I think of Zedd, I’m automatically taken back to my early rave days. “Clarity” has always been a personal favorite of mine and when I heard Zedd play it this January at OMNIA in Las Vegas a wave of nostalgia washed over me. Afterward, I began revisiting my older favorite EDM tracks and remembered a remix of Zedd’s hit, “Follow You Down”, Keys N Krates released back in 2013.

“Follow You Down” by Zedd, featuring Bright Lights is off of Zedd’s 2012 debut studio album Clarity, which ranked No. 38 on Billboard 200. The song can only be described as the quintessential progressive house track, with catchy vocals that add to the feel-good vibe Zedd’s beats deliver. As if the song couldn’t get any better, in January of 2013 Keys N Krates released a trapped-up remix that I definitely attribute to my current love for the genre. The remix is off of their EP Lucid Dreams by Dim Mak Records, which includes four more tracks in addition to “Follow You Down.” This new version still incorporates the catchiest portions of the original song’s chorus but spices things up by adding kicks and percussions to add a distinguishingly Keys n Krates, hip-hop touch. Whether you’re in the mood to do some reminiscing or hearing this song for the first time, take a listen to “Follow You Down” below and prepare to add it to your weekend playlist.

Zedd ft. Bright Lights – Follow You Down (Keys N Krates Remix) – Lyrics

Wherever you go, whatever you do

You know I’ll follow you down

Wherever you go, if ever you lose your ground

I’ll follow you down

I’ll follow you

Down…

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
